Privacy notice
Last updated 11 October 2026
In short
- We collect only what you type into the contact form or the research sign-up, plus the basic technical records any website keeps.
- We use it to reply to you. We do not sell it, and you are only on a mailing list if you put yourself on it.
- This website sets no cookies. Visits are counted without cookies and without identifying you.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold by writing to privacy@lavanglobal.com.
Who we are
This website, lavanglobal.com, is operated by Lavan Global Management ("LAVAN", "we"), registered in Lagos, Nigeria. LAVAN decides how the information described here is used.
This notice covers this website only. The Credibility OS platform at credibility.lavanglobal.com has its own privacy policy, which applies to anything you do there, including any assessment.
What we collect
What you send us. When you use the contact form we receive:
- your name and email address;
- your company or institution;
- your location and timeline, if you choose to give them;
- the kind of inquiry you selected, and your message.
Research by email. If you ask to be told when new research is published, we receive the email address you give for that purpose.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, bank statements, tax records, identity documents or other sensitive files through this website.
Technical records. Like any website, the service that hosts this one keeps short-lived logs of requests, which include your IP address, the page requested and the type of browser. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
We use what you send to reply to you and to decide whether and how LAVAN can help. We rely on the consent you give when you tick the box on the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
If you sign up for research by email, we use your address to send you new research and for nothing else. Every such email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you.
We do not sell your details or use them for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you sign up for one yourself. Using the contact form does not put you on one.
Who else handles it
We do not share your details with anyone outside LAVAN for their own purposes. Two kinds of service provider handle them on our behalf: the company that hosts this website, which also provides the visitor counts described below, and the company that delivers our email, which also holds the research mailing list. They may process information on servers outside Nigeria, and they are permitted to use it only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep an inquiry for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it unless a client or partnership relationship has begun. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
We keep your address on the research mailing list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies, for advertising, tracking or anything else. If that changes, this notice will be updated first and you will be asked before anything non-essential is set.
To see which pages are read, we use a visitor-counting service provided by the company that hosts the site. It works without cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not follow you to other websites and does not tell us who you are. It reports totals: how many times a page was viewed, which site visitors arrived from, and the country, type of device and browser.
If you use the "Pause motion" button, your browser remembers that choice on your own device so that it applies on the next page. It is not sent to us.
The site links to other websites, including Credibility OS and the companies we have worked with. Their own privacy practices apply once you leave this site.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it, including by withdrawing your consent.
Write to privacy@lavanglobal.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live; in Nigeria, that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
For anything else, write to support@lavanglobal.com.
Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
