LAVAN Credibility · Credibility OS

Making business credibility measurable, transparent, and actionable.

Many African businesses are creditworthy. They simply can't prove it. Credibility OS turns how a business really operates into a Trust Passport: an assessor-verified record that banks, investors and trading partners can check for themselves.

The credibility gap

Creditworthy, but unable to prove it.

The barrier is rarely the business. It is the absence of a shared language between how African businesses operate and how institutions assess risk.

  • 01

    No audit trail

Many businesses run without formal financial statements, so a bank-grade assessment cannot even begin.

The application is declined before the business is understood.

  • 02

    Informal operations

Real revenue moves through channels that leave no record an institution will accept.

    Invisible revenue becomes invisible creditworthiness.

  • 03

    Inconsistent records

What is reported and what can be confirmed do not match: revenue, directors, registrations.

Institutions cannot reconcile the story, so they walk away.

The difference

Assessed once, or assessed again by everyone.

This is not about any one institution. It is what happens to a business's credibility when there is no shared standard behind it.

Without a shared standardWith a Trust Passport
EvidenceEvery lender asks for its own bundle of documents. One assessment, one evidence file, shared with whoever you choose.
VerificationThe same documents are checked again at each institution.Checked once by an assessor, and the result carries the date it was checked.
ComparabilityEach institution scores you its own way, if it scores you at all.One published method, applied the same way to every business.
PortabilityWhat you prove to one lender does not carry to the next. The passport is yours, and anyone you show it to can verify it.
CurrencyA file that quietly goes out of date in someone’s drawer. Each certificate states when it was issued and when it expires.

What a passport tells you

Six scores for six decisions.

A lender, an investor and a buyer are not asking the same question. Every Trust Passport answers each of them separately, built from ten assessed domains.

What you can check

Judge the method, not the marketing.

LAVAN is new. Rather than ask anyone to take our word for it, we publish how the assessment works and make every certificate checkable by the people who rely on it.

  • 6decision scores on every passport

Questions

What it is, and what it is not.

Is LAVAN a bank or a credit bureau?

No. LAVAN does not lend, take deposits, manage investments or give regulated financial advice. A Trust Passport is a credibility assessment, not a guarantee of creditworthiness.

Is the score a prediction?

No. It describes the evidence a business provided and how far that evidence was verified on the day of assessment. It does not predict repayment or returns.

Who can see a business’s information?

The business and the assessors reviewing it. The business decides which institutions it shares its passport with. Anyone shown a passport can confirm it at the public verification page.

How long does a passport last?

A certificate is valid for 12 months and states its issue and expiry dates. Scores are recomputed when the evidence behind them changes.
